New Delhi Airport is quite well connected to various transport services both at the domestic terminas 1 and 2 and the international terminal at Terminal 3.
1.Metro: The airport line goes from the airport to the new Delhi railway station and gets connected to other metro lines covering almost the entire NCR region.
2.Bus and Shuttle services: these are available for long distances as well as shuttle service to other terminals. You will need to enquire at the exit for details.</li>
3.Taxi and Cabs at the New Delhi Airport Terminals: You can get a cab 24x7 at Delhi Airport - across each of the Terminal Buildings. The options available to you are:</li>
i.Registered Taxi Operator Counters at the Arrivals Meet & Greet and forecourt – Meru / Mega / Private taxis services which can be prebooked. Many hotels provide pick up and drop services; you may enquire before hand at the time of booking Hotels.
ii. Black & Yellow Taxi: These are Govt approved yellow & black color taxi service and is a prepaid taxi service. Counters are there at the Arrivals Meet & Greet and also at the departure terminal. At arrival on exiting the gate there is booth manned by Delhi Police which manages the booking to various destination in Delhi NCR and outside also. They keep receipts and records of the driver alloted and is quite safe; the price being quite similar to those provided by apps based taxi services like Ola and Uber.
iii. Option to book an Ola / Uber once at the Airport – Best would be to book the moment you are about to exit the Terminal Building provided you have the app downloaded on your mobile phone. last but not the least Uber & Ola is not available directly but if any other passenger at airport using these service, you may search and hail them outside the terminal building. Most of the time you will get Ola & Uber.
Meru cabs and Mega cabs have their counters right outside the terminal building close to the exit gate.
4.Online Booking Services: These may be services like Carzonrent.com, Zoomcars or Avis etc. They may be self driven as well but you need to book them before hand online.
